I have been busy and not blogged latley

Its been a while i have been busy and working and going away so i have been a slack blogger.We ventured to Melbourne last week so that i could see Celine Dion.She was fantastic worth every cent i had a ball.I sang to her songs poor people next to me oh well it was great.

I also caught up with some scrapping friends that i chat online too.Hi Charmaine and Vicky i had a great time chatting and drinking coffee.I also caught up with Relsi and Rach and there children.

We had a lovely afternoon chatting and the kids played in the playground.

I would also like to share some great news my daughter Carly is pregnant and due in September.Congrats Carly and Jason its fab news.And to Karen my stepdaughter congrats to you and Luke expecting your second child in October.So there will be babies all around,Mikayla will be a auntie three times by the time she is 3 and a half.

Also in the last couple of weeks Tarkyn our grandson turned one unfortunatly we couldnt go to his first birthday party as mum and dad had there 50th wedding anniversary.Mikayla did go to his party and she had a lovely day.Happy first birthday Tarkyn.Love from Pa and Nanna.

Last but not least my mum and dad celebrated there 50th wedding anniversary.Congrats mum and dad on a huge effort.That is a long time to be with one person i think.We gave mum a surprise party but the bigger surprise was that dad proposed to mum again and they renewed there wedding vows.It was a great day with family and friends.

Easter has been and gone can you believe that this year has flown already

I would like to share a couple of layouts and some easter pics of our adorable munchkin.
She was really cute easter morning.She ran around looking where easter bunny had left her eggs.And she was so excited that he left her all the little eggs.When Carly and Jason came she ran to the door yelling guess what easter bunny came to my house not even saying hello first.Come see what i got.



This is when she woke up calling mummy i'm awake.Nothing like being treated like princess Mikayla.
Here we are just after she collected some of her eggs looking pretty proud of herself too.
MMM is there anymore i think so.
Last pic of her excitement ,now to eat all the hoards of choclate that she recieved from friends and family.I think she will be eating this for the next two months.
And last but not least i made these great cup cakes for easter Sunday they were yummo.Thanks to Fiona Carter and her blog she shared the cup cake idea so i thought i would give them a go and they were a great success.Well i think i will come back later in the week and share a couple of my layouts that i have done this weekend and also a couple of pics from my scrapping day today,with Belinda and Allie.More about this in my next post.Bye for now have a great week again.

sharing more layouts

I thought that i would share some more layouts that i have done recently.

Mikayla and her nana at Trents going away party.

This layouts was done for a cybercrop at scrap with v the challenge.I found these pics at the back of the cupboard they would have to be three years old as i was pregnant with Mikayla in them.It was my girlfriends 50th birthday party.

I thought that i would just share some layouts with you.I have had a busy week and weekend again.I'm now doing and extra 6 hours aweek at work which really does cut inot loads of time home.I know to some people that wouldn't be much but to me it is.I'm now working about 26 hours a week.Maybe oneday i will go fulltime not looking forward to that.

I went to see Frank Sinartra and Barbara Striesand Sat night with a girlfriend that was just fantastic very funny and great music.They sounded just like them and they also looked like them.So to anyone that likes these two get yourself a ticket and go and see it.

And yesterday we went to the parents and babies show Mikayla loved the Dorothy show she danced and sang.She is really growing up way to quickly.It is not long now for the concert that i have been looking forward to for months Celione Dion i can't wait i have tickets right up the front.

A bit sad i have to go by myself as know one i know wanted to go.It is a big month for us

as we have a first birthday our grandson turns one,also my parents 50th wedding anniversary

I have scrapped a couple of layouts on the weekend to share with you this one was using papers that i bought from scrapbooknbits march pack it was great value for money thanks Karen.I added transparencies and other small bits too it.I still have loads of paper left to do more.

In this layout i have used the Lusi Austin stamps they are just fab.A bit of cutting out of papers on this layout too.


Last but not least this layout i just love as i love the pic,it is a layout of my nephews girlfriend Kate and Mikayla just listening to a speech.I took this pic randomly and i just loved it.I have hand stiched on the layout too which i dont do very often.That's a bought it from me.I have also done two other layouts for scrpwithv can't share those but you can go over to scrapwithv and have alook at the monthy packs.These new ones of mine will be up shortly.I have to do the instructions and send them off.Have a great easter everyone and don't forget if you are reading this to the end leave me a comment i love reading and seeing who is visting my blog.take care love Kerry

The day before Mikayla turned three isint she growing up.

Isin't our baby growing up so quickly ,i took some really nice shots of her Saturday the day before she turned three.

Mikayla and her nanna Bell,she just didnt really want this photo taken sweet little devil that she is. This is Kate with Mikayla i just loved this pic of the both of them,Mikayla just adores Kate and she never left her alone all day. Here are the pics from Mikayla's third birthday i have quite a few but i thought that i would just share a few.We got her too blow out her first lot of candles at breakfast time.We had brekkie with her brother and big sisters and nanna and poppa.Then in the afternoon we had her other sister and family and godparents over for afternoon tea.Mikayla had a lovely third birthday and the weather was great.She loved each and every present and now we get to watch some new dvd's over and over gain.

Blowing her candles out with her auntie Neat,this was the second cake attempt as we tried doing an icream cake that was a disaster it started melting before our eyes.We had to go to the shop and get a plan b.This is what we came up with so it turned out okay in the end.

And last of all i have done a couple of layouts through the week to share with you.

Hi everyone

Hi,

Well it has been a while since i last blogged i thought i better do an update.Not that anyone really stops by and reads my blog anyway and if the one or two that might you can always leave me a message so i know its worth posting more.

It is Mikayla's third birthday this Sunday where has that time gone she is so grown up now.She never stops talking and runs all the time.She loves fairy dancing and playing with her friends.

We are just going to have our familiesand her godparents over for her birthday that will be huge in itself.

As with six children you can imagine.Also i'm from a family of five,plus her godparents that is a party in itself.

We are going to have a afternoon tea for her as she loves cake and especially birthday cake.

This layout was using a sketch from Jolene Pinnear she is one amazing scrapper and her sketches are inspiring.Amd i love all that she does.
I loved doing this layout i was inspired by Steph to go and buy some fabric and use modpodge and this is what it came out like i love it.Thanks also to Kate for teaching this technique to me many moons ago now.

This another layout that i have completed this was also made with fabric and modpodge

it actually makes you think outside the square,plus also look for bright fabric,that makes all the difference.
This layout was done for a cybercrop over at chooks scraps a couple of weeks ago.I was inspired by Janine in doing this layout.Thanks Janine for teaching me the new techniques that i have used on this page.

i thought i would share another couple of layouts for you.

Not much has been going on here other than scrapping,working and looking after Mikayla.I have now got eight layouts waiting to be published three with sc and five with sm ,i'm pretty stoked about the whole thing can't wait to see them in print.Now to share another three layouts with you.

I have done this layout for scrapping with the stars over at scrap therapy,this week you had to use patterned paper for the background and paint.I think the photo says it all.

Mikayla just loves cake like her daddy.

The last one to share for this week is a penny for your thoughts,she looks so placid in this i wish that was the truth but it is not saddly.She has the will of a lion and the temper of a wild bear,but she is our little angel and we love her to bits. just a few pics from the long weekend we took miss m to the beach and playground.She hates the seeweed we had to pick her up.She loves the playground.We had to pry her off the play equipment to take her home.I hope everyone had a great Australia day weekend back to work tommorow.

This is just one of the layouts i got done on the weekend.I done four and two have been picked up by sm so happy about that.So my scrapping is really going ahead in leaps and bounds.I will share another couple that i completed late last week.

Well that is about it for me.I have had a great month for scrapping.
I have had five magazine acceptances and also won one of the challenges for scrap with the stars over at scrap therapy.
I love doing the challenges as i think that they have helped me expand and do things that i probably wouldn't have normally tried.

On the home front Mikayla is doing really well with her potty training and goes to the big toilet now.Fingers crossed that it stays that way.

Karen has turned 25 in December and Travis has turned 29 in Janurary ,so birthdays all around.

So more cake photos and layouts.Still haven't done the one from Carly's birthday yet ,and Karen's and Travis's.

This is Tarkyn just after xmas he was almost crawling.

Boy they grow up too quickly i would love to keep them as babies for a much longer period.
