color combo 93

Well i decided to do the color challenge on the color challenge blog.My friend Belinda is on the design team there so i thought i would go out of my comfort zone and give it ago.Excuse the crooked picture after four goes i though I'm not taking another one lol.And also a couple of close ups too.

The picture was taken by Belinda on one of my trips that i have been to visit her and her family.I changed the pic into black and white as it was easier to match the colours too.Mikayla and i have taken a couple of road trips together this year This is not any colours that i would usually use so I'm pleased with the outcome what do you think?

A close up The purple flower was inspired by Steph i seen that she had done some similar on the Aussie scrap source blog.I punched the Crete paper with my circle punches then inked them to the color i wanted.Thanks Steph for a great idea just something different i think.

And of course this layout i did the other week for the swv cyber crop we had this as a challenge the dt.I have actually changed it to what i did the first time round One of the challenges was to put a mini book on the layout i wasn't happy with what that looked like so i have have changed that part of the layout.I one the challenge lol.
You had to make a mini book scrap at least one triangle use the colour yellow.I had that all covered.

A new baby was born.Our third grandchild

Congratulations to Karen,Luke and Tarkyn on there newest member of there family.

Indiana Lynne was born at 6.43 am October the 23rd weighing in at a healthy 8lb 10 oz.Mother and baby doing fine.

We are now blessed with our first grandaughter.

Auntie Mikayla still wants to know when she can play with her guessing not for a while yet.

And god only knows what this face was all about.Colin took this when he was in at the hospital today what a face.I'm guessing some one"s nose was put out of joint for some reason.

My birthday

I would just like to thank Vanessa and Lindy for there lovely presents that they sent me down from Queensland .Of course some lovely scrapping supplies.And to my family thanks for a lovely day and great presents too.We had our usual Sunday night dinner at my sisters house but i got to pick what i wanted for dinner.I chose snitzel parmigana it was yummy.And thanks also to the many sms messages that i received from friends to.I better go and get ready for work have a great week.Take care love Kerry

The kids decided that it was there birthday too.They helped me blow my candles out .I'm glad there wasn't the right amount on there we would have had to call the fire brigade.

A bit of bragging but i was really stoked when i got to be asked to be artist in the spotlight for scrapbookcreations

It was quite a while ago that i got an email from scrapbook creations to be artist in the spotlight.I was so excited i couldn't believe it little old me.Well it had finally hit the shelves this week .The picture i used was Kate and Mikayla.Kate is my nephews fiancee Mikayla really loves her she is such a sweet girl.Also in this issue is the come fly with me layout.I have taken a pic of the page unfortunately the pic is a bit crappy.

This layout i have completed for the swv cybercrop that was held this weekend.

a busy few days

I thought that i would take a few pictures of Lachlan and Mikayla who said taking pictures of children was easy.I came out in a sweat taking these shots.I ended up taking about 90 shots and i think there were quite a few bloopers.He just fitted in this little suit case.

And of Course princess Mikayla as we call her.

She adores her nephew.

He is just starting to give little smiles. Playing with the ball at Marcies,we are lucky that Marcie takes pictures of what she does threw the day while she is getting looked after.

And Lachlan was very tired after all his pics.We have been so busy over the last few days.I managed to scrap these layouts on Friday morning while catching up with the latest Mcleods daughters i down loaded from the net.We had a wedding yesterday.Carla and Travis looked after Mikayla for us .We got a phone call about 5.30 pm to say that Mikayla was vomiting and had done so at least 10 times poor little mite.After regular phone calls to Travis she was okay and sitting watching dvds.She is fine today so i think it was a 24 hour bug.Well i am starting a new job tomorrow.Hopefully this will end up being a permanent position at least i know at this stage its a three month contract.Anyway have a great week and a nice long weekend too.

A fair bit to share

First of all i bought a lot of prima products lately one to do this book shown and the other to use on some layouts i really am stoked how they both turned out.Also on this layout i have used a journal ling spot down the bottom right hand corner from http://yvetteadams.blogspot.com/ i won some journal ling spots from Yvette they are so cute you can go to her blog and

My build a book from prima i think the hardest thing was to photograph it lol.It does look very very pretty irl.You really cant get a good look on the net.

And of course what is a post without the beautiful little man Lachlan he is now 5 weeks old and going great guns keeping his mum and dad up at times.But mostly sleeping and drinking.Carly is going to bring him over tomorrow so we can have a bit of fun and take some pictures of him.Hopefully we get some okay shots.

The first sign of the sun and it was can i wear this pretty dress mum.So i then had to take some pics of Mikayla and what else should i do but scrap a couple.

I can't believe i still have a hacking cough and now i have come out in an itchy rash just great not.

A layout to share

I did this yesterday gotta love this paper and also helps that i love the photo.Can you believe that Mikayla is starting pre entry kindy when school goes back on the 13th of October.That will be a sad day i think.From this to the sweet little thing she can be lol.Every time i go to take a picture now she pulls faces either like this one or she pokes her tongue out.


I love this too except for the fence.

Well this was a classic she wanted to put on her dance costume as she was dancing to the fairies on dvd.Over the top of her pyjamas,that are a miss match of Dorothy from the wiggles and high five bottoms.Socks and wiggle glasses holding her wand too funny.

And of course this one with daddy she adores him and he adores her.

It was such a beautiful day here Saturday i took the little chick outside and took a couple of pics this one her hair is in her face so we had to change where we were sitting and get another shot.

I really love this shot of her she looks so sweet.But we all know what a terror she can be when she wants to be.Her eyes look so dark here.that smile would have to make you smile i know it does me.

This is one i managed to complete on Friday night while scrapping and chatting to Janine it just came together really well love these papers too.

I actually done this back about three months ago and have only just got it back to photograph it.Mikayla at the fairies last day of the term.She really loves her teacher.

Well i have a dreaded lurgy i have been coughing since four oclock this morning taking flu and cold tablets like theres no tomorrow.Off to the doc this arvo to get it checked out.The little miss also has it.The weekend has come and gone my sister came over and i helped her to scrap some pages of her son he is in the army now some great pics to scrap thats for sure.

I had to help her as she has never scrapped before she managed to get four pages done with some help from me.

I think she was pleased with them well i hope so anyway .She was off to get some more cardstock yesterday to do some more.I had to try and let her go a bit then when she done something that looked out of place i gave her a bit of a nudge to move it lol.She has great eye for detail though so that helped heaps.I managed to get four journals scrapped thank god.I only have two to go now then they will be on there way so watch out Lea.

Travis is in the grandfinal of the footy this coming Saturday he is pretty excited as he hasn't played footy for such along time here in Australia.We will probably go and watch it is a fair drive from here tow hours easily.Well thats me for now i hope you all have a great week chat soon .take care love Kerry xx

just one page

I managed to get one page finished for the swv cybercrop.This was the dt challenge you had to use a circle with card stock four patterned papers,brads and eyelets no bling.We had a nice weekend busy but nice all the same.Nothing much to report other than Lachlan has grown a little bit and Mikayla is quite liking giving him cuddles now.

And of course a cuddle again yesterday made her day.She has taken to pulling faces when i want to take a picture.Little gem.
But funny story at the shops the other night she must have seen a port power magazine and promptly told me mum we don't like port power do we.Which i answered no she then said they are yuk aren't they mum.We barrack for the crows don't we mum.And in earshot to a man in the shop he said to me well she wouldn't be brain washed would she.Well little miss then said I'm not brainwashed am i mummy.Out of the mouths of babes it was cute and very funny.A pic to share of the giant slide that Mikayla loved. Even though she looks petrified she loved it and was exhausted by the time we left. a weekend at whalers

I had a scrapping weekend at whalers.I had a fab time catching up with some of the girls i met there last year. I actually only finished one of my own layouts.But i did manage to complete three class layouts and one mini album.Thanks to Kate ,Janine and Steph for fun classes.

I really need to get stuck into to some journals that i have here at home to finish.That has really got to be a priority so they can venture back to there owners.I have one last Calender to do as well that only arrived here Friday.

Not much more to say at this stage just busy with work no time to play.And on the TV front vote for Wes Carr in the Australian idol comp he was originally an Adelaide boy now living in Sydney,Carly used to go to the same school as him .We are having fun teasing her about a little crush she had on him when she was in year eight.I think there are a few very talented singers on there this year.
