color room #22 second take

I decided to do a second layout for the color room this week.Had the colors already maybe a tad brighter.I just love this prima stamp.And Sandie thanks again for the rak i have used some of the doileys on this layout they are so beautiful.

A layout and the color room #22

My take on the color room for this week.Mikayla and Ella they met for the first time a couple of months ago and they got on like a house on fire.Ella's mum Marelle is a scrapbooking friend it was nice to be able to meet her daughter as well.Also i hope you are feeling better Marelle hugs to you chick. Gosh my month as the artisit of the month came and went quickly this is my last week.

scrap the girls and the 123 challenge for september.

Scrap the girls challenge this month was using white card stock and something that is a first like first day at school or first tooth etc etc.This was very different for me thinking of how to scrap school pics and i managed to sneek a small flower on my layout tee hee.Thanks miss Sandie for the RAK i loved it.

And 123 challenge was orange as the color and handmade flowersand the word bloom.I made these orange roses.

So girls get those fingers working and why not come and play along this month.I would love to see what you do.So send me a link when you have created for the challenge either one and i will be having a special RAK and the end of the month of September.I will get Mikayla to draw a name out of the hat.Another pic that was taken by Leonie in the bottom layout thanks again Leonie.Take care love Kerry xx

The color room palette #4 and prima build a page August

Gosh time flys we have been married now for 8.5 years.I wish some people would just realize that life goes on and we are staying together and they should just move on and get over it.

Love the dress form this one is from dusty attic

The small dress form is a scrap matts one the are so cute i love them. I have done this page for the color room number 4 finally all up to date i have done 21 now.So i am pretty happy with my effort.

Prima build a page for August just cutting it fine for the month.Just something simple this month.So i decided to gather the paper around the patterned paper to give it some depth.

Just for something different I have put a sign in book on the side of my blog why not leave a message and say hi.

A long post and a lost tooth

Mikayla lost her first tooth she was so happy because the tooth fairy was going to come.She was so excited that she ran off into the bathroom to look at her lost tooth.That when she came bounding back into the family room it bounced out of her hand.We searched everywhere and could not find it i thought oh know what can we tell her.I had to tell her that the tooth fairy's already had been notified that she had lost the tooth and that they would come and find it and take it with them leaving some money behind.
Well that planned worked except this morning when she woke up she found her money in her glass beside her bed.She came out to show Colin and i and then went to go into the kitchen low and behold what do you think she found yes you guessed it her tooth.Some quick thinking by me and Colin had to also stick to the story that it must have slipped from the fairy's hand and that they would be back tonight to retrieve it,so i have put it back in the glass but there we be no more money just a tooth gone.

My friend Jodi at the retreat that we went to at Lake Keep it in NSW.Thanks so much Jodi for looking after us all and we all had a very productive weekend.It was lovely to catchup with Jules,Lindy and Pip.Can't wait till you girls come to Adelaide to do some scrapping here with me.
I also got to catchup with some of Jodis scrapping friends for brekkie on Monday morning so hi to them too.It is such a great hobby and i really did enjoy everyones company on the weekend.Now to catchup with everything.

I have used Grace Taylor papers on this layout they are so pretty you can get them at Big W.I also hand made the roses from the paper too.

These were the first couple before i got a half decent one of Mikayla .I really dont know what she was pretending to be.A Kangaroo?a Rabbit/ i really dont know. The color room challenge number #19 and for the next month the RDA artist too.

I was thrilled to be asked to be one of the next revolving door artists on the color room.There are some very talented scrappers on this team.I will be doing this for 1 month so come on and join in.It is a great way of using all your scraps.Mikayla decided to wanted to make a milk mo and yep she did.Cheeky monkey.

My take on the color room this week.Another lot of colors that i went on no.I have handmade the blue roses on here inspired by Trudi Harrison.And also Janine for the tips on the glimmer paint.I have included some close ups too. And also the beautiful lamp post is from scrapmatts.They have so many wonderful chipboard products i cant wait to keep using a few more.

Well this was the biggest challenge yet the colors were really hard this week but i think that the end result was just great.

Thanks Leonie for taking this pic for me and i still have others that i want to scrap as well.Leonie is from Geelong and i caught up with her last weekend and i asked her to take some pics of the little chick and i with my camera.She did a fab job hugs to you chick.

Finally i got time to do this for the week.I really like the colors.

I had a great trip to Melbourne meeting old and new friends.Thanks so much girls for taking the time to catch up with Mikayla and I.We certainly walked a few miles i have some pics to share too but haven't had time to even look at them.

The little chick laughing at me.While is was busy taking the photos of her running in and out of the water she seen the water coming in and over the top of my feet, shoes and all.Well you can see by the pics she thought it was hilarious.

For some reason i had to ponder this layout for days in my head.I really struggled with the palette this week.Don't ask me why cos i don't know lol.

Just one layout for the week

One layout this week not many hey.I really liked the pink piaslee papers along with the Donna Downey stamp and also my fav prima.

Mikayla and i are off to see Mary Poppins next week yay.We will meet Mikayla's sister Deb there and she will have a chance to catchup with her.Mikayla is excited and scared she wants me to hold her hand as she cant remember going on a plane before even though she has at leat a half a dozen times in the past but she was a lot younger then.

I will get to meet up with some scrappy friends too cant wait.I have two days off work Friday and Monday look out shops here i come lol.So have a great week all and i might have some more scrappy pages later this week.

The color room number #14

I just loved the colors this week so i have managed a couple of layouts one boy one girl.

Just a few closeups.

I just love this little girl she is such a character that's for sure.Sometimes she does push her luck getting cheekier by the day.But there is times that i have to hold back from laughing at what she says.At the moment she is sitting down here with her fathers mobile singing along to a pop song a Delta Goodren song and really it is quite cute.

And this is my interpretation of the color combo a boy layout and i actually don't mind it as boy colors too.I miss this boy or man should i say so much i do wish he was here and not so far away.I only have pics to remember him by and a few odd phone calls.Maybe sometime soon he might visit here's hoping.Love you Travis xx

The color room challenge #13

This is my take on the color room challenge i loved the colors this week.I have hand painted and color changed prima flowers and also made some crepe paper flowers and glimmer misted them too.I keep taking pics of my layouts crooked gosh i think i must go cross eyed when i photograph them.

And a few closeups.I have used my cricut again on this layout the swirls and the title were cut using the cricut.I even pulled the rose paper from the bottom of my paper stash it is and old basic grey paper from about three years ago.And of course i love this pic of Mikayla she looks so very happy here and her natural beauty just shines through.Biased mum here lol.If you are reading this thanks for visiting my blog have a great week.Take care Kerry xx
