The color room #48

scrap the girls and 123 challenge for this month

123 challenge for this month is using blue,the word too, two or to.Also a doily oops i forgot the doily but my lace will have to do lol.Also on this i have used the scrapmatts little gulls they are adorable and the new leaves as well as the little swirls all new product.Check it out it is great for embellishing your page.And of course all the new prima.I dug this adorable pic of Mikayla when she was 18 months old and in her sisters wedding,Carly's that is,tomorrow that little precious bundle is going to be six.Cant believe it.

My take on the scrap the girls for this month i used one of the quotes on here,take a look on the scrap the girls blog and have a go at it for March.Well four years have flown Carly and Jason have been married now for four years they also have a son that is two so much has happened in the last 6 years since Mikayla was born it is unbelievable.I love the new dress stamp from prima and the new masks ,i can see a lot more layouts happening with these.

Well i better go and start making the cake for the little miss for her birthday tomorrow the big six is closing in.Have a fab week everyone and thanks for looking take care Kerry x

Prima build a page February

I have done this layout with some new prima just yummy love all the new stuff.Looking forward to using some of the masks too.They are such a stunning couple cant wait only a few more days now till i see them both.
I have also pulled out some of Carly's wedding photos too scrap as i really only ever scrapped a mini book of her wedding.
I found the cutest pic of Mikayla that i am scrapping at the moment she was an adorable flower girl too.That page i'm doing for 123 challenge blog for March.I also have on the go my scrap the girls page for March.Coming up too soon the months have flown by.
Gosh Mikayla turns six next Wednesday i do not know where the time has gone it has been such a topsy turvy six years.She has lived in 5 houses in 6 years gosh that sounds bad lol.And two states.
A very well travelled little chick.

Scrapmatts card and layout and the color room #45

 I have used scrapmatts chippy on this card CB6054 dress form and also,CB5016 nested  shapes 02 and of course some prima flowers.

 This layout has the word happy SW 007,CB1111 topiaries 02 ,CB 1109 heart sprays 01

This layout is of course the color room # 45 challenge for this week yep i actually did it early this week.The butterflies on this are also scrapmatts chippy.
Cant wait to get some of the new prima to lots of new masks which i love.

The color room challenge #44

 Back up too date with the color room challenges this week it was greens and a wash of white.Love this picture of my son Travis and grandson Lachlan They really don't get to see each other very often due to Travis being in England but when they do they just love each other to bits.

been having a great week a front cover and a feature

First of all i got this layout chosen for the color room featured artist for the week which i was stoked about.But the next thing was a dream come true.

But this has just blown me away i got a front cover how awesome is that,well in my world it is.I haven't actually seen the magazine yet it hasn't come in yet but a friend Mal took a pic of hers.Mikayla is smile like a chess er cat.We will go to the news agency they are going to call us up when it arrives.
And the other thing with this layout it was another color room challenge that i used the colors from back early last year.I have been really inspired to do the challenges you never know what might catch the eye of someone.I have done every one to date except the one from last week but i do intend doing it.Thanks to everyone again that takes the time to look at my blog and to leave a comment i really appreciate it.take care Kerry xx

A new month and new challenges

Scrap the girls Feb is a sketch,also a new design team i will continue on the team thanks Kate.I have enjoyed being a part of this team with a great bunch of girls to push that creative boundary.This is my take on the

the sketch,click on the side bar to see the sketch .Remember it is scrap the girls and only girls can be in the picture.I have used scrapmatts frame and butterfly  on this layout they are CB4012 frames 03 ,7 pieces the butterflies came with the frame.

Now for the 123 challenge brought to you by Lousie Nelson this time around,Louise is now on the design team for the 123 challenge blog,congrats Louise looking forward to working along side of you.The challenge this time was use the word about,the color cream and upcycling,i used a very old crocheted doily i found at the op shop.

The beautiful girl is Harmony Charmaine's daughter isn't she sweet,i snapped this pic a while ago when i went to the Mount for a scrap day .

And of course no show without punch,i took this pic of Mikayla new years eve,And they butterfly background is glimmer mist and texture paste.

prima build a page and a bons color challenge

And this is also the color challenge that Bon Set over at Bons Scraps,Purple ,cream black and white.I made most of the flowers .I hope you have all had a great week i am glad it is Friday tomorrow yay the weekend.

color room #38 and Issy

 I have finally got around to doing the color room 38 challenge now I'm up to date with that .I have used texture paste on this layout i have been inspired by so many of the girls on the color room blog that have used texture paste lately.Also these little silhouette girls are from seriously scrap booking a local shop here.And thanks Jane for the fence it looks so cute on here.Thanks again to Tess for this beautiful pic of Carla and Mikayla i have PS it.

This page i have done is of my girlfriends Lyn's little granddaughter on her first birthday i just think the picture is adorable.I hope you like it Lyn and that they treasure this always.I have incorporated a couple of the butterfly's that was a birthday card from her Nanny the big one on the left and the smaller one on her right .

Scrapmatts dt work

 I have used the clock,xmas tree the santa in his sleigh and also the word joy all of these you can buy from scrapmatts.

Also this cute rocking horse and frame are both scrapmatts designs.

And this time 32 years ago i was in labour with Travis,happy birthday Travis even though you were not born until 6.15 pm at night or there about.I hope you have a fantastic day we love you very much.It wont be long until you are home again soon.Love Mum,Colin and Mikayla x

I have done this page for this weeks color room challenge.This graphic 45 paper is the cutest i just love the rabbits. The photo was taken by a friend Tess and i have altered it in photo shop,Mikayla had a bright pink jacket and it was just to pink for what i wanted to do.I love the masks from prima and of course there is some Martha Stewart punches on here also along with prima flowers.

Thought i would use my older websters papers considering they have a new spring range it is divine.I love the new colors cant wait to get some.

scrap the girls and 123 challenge for Jan

 123 challenge purple,punches and the word beautiful,I set the challenge for this month i hope you like it.Come and play.

Scrap the girls a summer shoot and layout this was the perfect pic for me come and play for some great prizes.The words and sea shells are scrapmatts chipboard so stunning.

It was sad to see Carla and Travis leave today back to England but it was also lovely being able to catchup with them too.It was for the saddest of reasons but it also brought us back together for a few weeks.Safe journey home to you both.And we will see you soon in the next couple of months for a much happier occasion next time.

The color room #37 and a couple of cards

I have been away on the weekend Mikayla and i went on a road trip down to Mount Gambier.We had a lovely time with Charm and her family.Thanks so much for your hospitality Charm it took my mind off a very sad and depressing week.And thank you for being such an amazing non judgmental friend.You sure are a compassionate person they do not come around very often.

When i got home i did realize that the week has to start again,I am going with Travis today for support while he views Don,and tomorrow will be his funeral,such a sad sad couple of days and my thoughts are with his parents such a tragic loss for them.May you rest in peace Don we love you and miss you.
And to Travis may you find the strength to get through some of the toughest days ahead we are here for you and we love you unconditionally.

A devasting loss of life

To my sons best friend Donald Charles Williams may you rest in peace.You have been in our lives for such a longtime that it is going to be so hard not to miss you constantly.You have travelled the world and run a muk with Travis and have done so many crazy and dangerous things along the way.
You are such a infectious beautiful boy and a lovable rouge.It is such a sad loss of life,You died on your birthday at 31 years of age.I will always remember your cheeky grin and those shirts that you had me iron for you.I am so glad that we had the chance of being a part of your life rest in peace buddy we love you xx

The color room #35

Well these are another lot of colors that i wwould rarely use But put them altogether and they are stunning.I was certainly inspired by Stephs paper choice this week and i had  just bought this range last week myself so couldn't have been better timing.I feel in love with the flowers is that a surprise anyone that knows me knows i am a flower freak.And they know that i always cut out flowers and patterned paper i have been told that i am crazy do you think ,no don't answer that.

Emmaline did this double bow a few weeks ago and i loved the look of it so i have done one that i like.I have used the a base of a sketch that i found on www.sketchsavvyblogspot.com number #13 by Susan Stringfellow,I swung the sketch around to suit what i wanted.They have some great sketches on the site whether you use them all or just a bit they give yo a bit of inspiration that's for sure.

To help out a friend sometimes there are just diamonds in this world and Lea is certainly one.
I have known Lea through scrapbooking for a few  years now and she is an amazing mum
and also really puts alot of effort into fundraising for the West Mead hospital Sydney.

123 challenge and scrap the girls.

 123 challenge blog for this month was tissue paper,the word OH and pink.

Scrap the girls was use two colors from the list they provided i decided the red and green,And thanks again Bronny for the beautiful flowers.Bronny sells these if you need anymore info just contact me.
And i have used the scrapmatts swirls and butterflies on this layout.

Dare to dream

have used a sketch as a base for this layout from www.sketchsavvy.blogspot.com and the colors are form the color room from this week.


The large red flower on the layout were from a friend Bronny from bons thanks Bronny and the heart was from Charm from Bons and the cute little Angel was from Trina from scrapbooking top 50.
I met Trina on Saturday night at Charms house down in Mount Gambier where she was making these lovely angels that she was making for a swap.I stole one tee hee not really she was kind enough to give me one and i am very grateful.Also Bronny is making these really beautiful flowers out of silk just loved them so i scored some too.I made the fabric calico flowers from some of Charms calico and the letters were from her stash too.Gosh sounds like i forgot everything but i didn't.Thanks for showing me how to make them Charmaine.

The girls had a get together in the Mount and i went down there also,i stayed with Charm and we had a ball.It is nice to scrap with friends that treat you so well like one of the family.The kids are all so adorable.

The color room 33 and a visit to santa as well as a concert.

 Mikayla had her dancing concert last night she was so cute,Look at those lashes and no makeup.She loved her costume even though it cost $98.00 for a nighty .

 We also had a visit with santa.

 

She wanted to know why santa held a teddy bear i told her he gets lonley sometimes .Her response was but mum  he talks to lots of children

I have used the colors and the sketch from this weeks color room challenge.Lydell does some fantastic sketches i loved this one.The papers are all grant archival papers and the clock is scrapmattsCB 5046 and the wrought iron fence is cb 4001,And the saying is from kaisercraft..=I hope you are all having a fab week.

A new design team

Finally i can spill the beans ,recently there was a call for the scrapmatts design team and i am lucky enough to be one of the girls chosen to be on it.Scrapmatts are a fabulous chipboard company with amazing products i particular have a fetish for birds and bird cages also street lamps and fences,and they do great dress forms and many other beautiful things.
