Another week rolls on

We had a really busy weekend on Saturday we went off to see the local sanfl footy Centrals and Port.We has a lovely lunch and drinks .It is nice to go and spend an afternoon relaxing.Mikayla got to spend time with her sisters Kylie and Karen,also with her nephew Tarkyn she had a great time.Gee Tarkyn has grown heaps how time flys.Sunday i went to the local lss and scrapped an off the page [roject with the Lydell that was really great.And here are the other things that i scarpped over the weeken fot the cybercrop with swv A card Challenge with Lea you had to include two butterflies and bling.

Kylie's was a masucline layout with flowers ,flourishes,lace and ribbon and buttons .

Vanessa was a sketch challenge.

And Andrews was a challenge on bling which was also incorperated with Jodi's challenge take a pic of your bling.There was only one challenge i didnt complete i have till midnight tonight to do that one i might give it ago this afternoon.

I was taking photos of my layouts but no show without punch she had to jump right in there.I went to go inside and she insisted on having her pic taken,so here we were hanging just outside the door as it was raining and freezing outside.Little miss loves baking i wonder if she will keep that up MMMMMMMMMMMM.

Well we come to the end of another week christmas dosen't seem that far away now.We are off to the footy Saturday to watch centrals and port Col is the port barraker i just go to keep him company.If anyone that knows me they will find me at the bar too cold to watch too much i think lol.

Busy week

First of all it started at the beginning of the week,I went an visited Kate and her four girls for a play date on Tuesday.That was great and boy the twins are really big i can't believe that her girls are now six months.They have all been a little bit sick a cold and one of the girls were hospitilized on Wednesday.Get well soon Chelsea.

Then i took a trip to Barmera to spend a day with Belinda and her two children.I ended up staying for two days.Col was away so i had nothing to be home for.I scrapped five layouts and a off the page book.So that was certainly a good trip when you do this many.Belinda got four done.

Thanks so much again Belinda for you hospitality and i'm sure the kids had a great time playing as well.I got back Friday morning went and done some food shopping.Friday night it was off to Janines for more scrapping i managed to half finish a double layout 8.5 x 11 ,it is still sitting on my desk to be finished.

Thanks Janine i had a great time chatting the time flew i didnt get home until about 1.20pm so that was a big night.

Yesterday Carly was over and we managed to nearly finish her baby shower invites.She was complaining about threading ribbon i threaded a few for her then sent the rest home with her to do.They came up well,i have never made invites so a first for me.Now to share my layouts and a pic of my mini book.Have a great week everyone.
Gotta love that face don't you we see this often.She was actually saying oh no,even though it looks like she is going to cry she wasn't.Dont you just love this paper i do the four layouts three below and this one were using papers from the urban Lily collection.Thanks to Belinda she had won these from a comp at SM and kindly donated some to me.I had the perfect photos to go with the red black and white ones.Thanks again Belinda for the papers they were really handy and i loved the end results.My mini book miss M there are a variety of pics from our day out at the River Torrens Adelaide little miss just loved it.This is another lot of urban Lily paers and Belinda took the pics for me and edited them as well.Great photos don't you think.This last one was the last of the paper that i used.The pic was taken by Belinda and edited by her too.Then all i had to do was the layout lol.I hand drew the little tree branches and the scallopped shapes came from Belinda's stash.The idea of oval trees like this came from an old copy of sm.But between Belinda and i we came up with our own version.

My layout for Scrapbook Station

Just an update on my scrapping,Janine from Scrapbook Station has asked me to join there dt .Thanks Janine it would be an honour and more so that it is a store here in Adelaide that i have always gone to since we came bcak here to live.


This is the layout that i have done for the shop at scrapbook station.It is using the new noteworthy papers. I will be dropping this layout off tommorow.

Here we are again

Wow hasnt the last week flown.I have been busy making cards.So far i have made 50 for the week. Plus a single layout as well as a double 8.5 x11 this was different for a change.


Also i have worked three days for Toll Tasmania as a temp.They were lovely blokes too so that always helps when you have to go to work.

A very old pic of Mikayla i just love this old fashioned car that my sister owns so does Mikayla.She still gets in it whenever we go to her Auntie diddies.Thats what Mikayla calls her her name is Vicki.She can say Vicki but dosen't.

Also i would like to thank Steph for her temp plate of the tree.It is a great design and i loved using it.And those very cute mushrooms are from buzz and bloom.Another pic from our photo shoot last week .The colours look wrong here it is a better green irl.Last of all a pic of Mikayla in her Dora hat isint it cute,also her Dora Trackie she just loves it.A lady at the shop today said to her oh Dora can you speak Spanish.Mikayla said i'm not Dora i'm Mikayla i had to laugh she was talking about her hat and clothes.That hat went on this morning at 8.00 am and it never came off all day until tonight at about 4.30 pm.I"m guessing she likes it.

Nothing much else happening at this stage.Getting closer to being a nanna again not long now.

I really got inspired to scrap one of the pics so here is one of them.I also got some great buzz and bloom things in the post from Charmane they were adorable,the journalling stamp.also the the little heart with a tiny bird sitiing inside of it.Along with the tiny flowers that you can not see to well here on the bottom of the pic.Till next time catch you all soon take care love Kerry.

Well after seeing http://jolenepienaar.blogspot.com/ pictures that she had taken of katie i decided that i might take some of Mikayla using the same sort of idea.I had some fabric here rolled up.I thought that would do for the experiment.I laid the fabric over a park bench that we have out the back.Then i just started taking shots with my little model here

I have used photoshop on the images with actions colour boost on all of them and burnt edges on a couple.With these actions it really brightened the photos up.Thanks Janine for the tips.

That was done after a very frustrating around five hours trying to workout how to upload these new actions to my photoshop.Even a call to Belinda totally frustrated with a can you please help never helped.It is hard when you don't have the computer in front of you.She told me to go away and come back.So i did i went and made lunch for the little miss and i baked beans on toast.

Came back played around with it a bit more then someone must have been watching over me as i finally fluked the uploads.Don't ask me how i did it as i have no idea.lol i really can be a computer der.Yes Belinda i know i can hear you now saying just go in there and play.Well play i did lucky the screen never got something thrown at it.lol

Thanks again Jolene for your inspiration and having such a fabulous imformative blog.I think it is great that so many of the girls that i know threw scrapbooking are willing to share some of there little tricks.It really does help.

What a week.

Well first of all i would like to share that as of Wednesday afternoon at 5.25 pm that i know longer have a job.Apparently my contract ran out.They assure me it is because they are restructioning i guess i have to believe that.I still have my name down at the personel section so i'm hoping that something comes up really soon.

Then Thursday i went to the scrapshop and picked up a copy of scrapbookcreations.My first publication is in there so exciting.Miss M was really excited to see her self in her scrapbooking magazine lol.I have adouble feature on page 56 and 57.Also a layout on page 78 princess.These are the first of a few more to come later this year.How exciting.

This is the one that i done for the double page article.And here is the other layout it is a pink gallery in scrapbook creations.

Also in the same mag there are a few girls that i know that are in this issue too.Belinda has a article in it as well as Leanne.Congrats on your simple style layouts and article thats fab news.

I have seen Lea,cass,Lu.Jolene has a two page article too.Karen got her layout published on the cover thats fantastic.Also Steph has a couple of layouts in this issue too.So i'm glad that i'm sharing my first publication with so many talented people it is one mag that i'll cherish for a very long time.So if i missed anyone that i know sorry i have only had a quick flick threw it and some of the layouts just bounced out at me.
And last of all i finished this layout last night i started it the other week at the rereat finally getting time last night to finish it.I was up until about 2.00am scrappimg and cleaning up some of my stash.If you have got this far you are going great guns.Don't forget if you stop by leave a message and let me know that you have visited.

what i have been upto yesterday and today

Well for this long weekend i thought that i would just do a couple of off the page projects something that i don't do often enough.First i decided that i would try texture paste and paint so not like me but i thought why not.

I really loved what it came out like ,looks so much better irl.The colours are so different on the computer.When you see it irl life it is blue pink and white. I think i will do more of these.It is a canvas, stamping and texture paste The original idea came from something i seen on scrap inuque web site i thought why not try it at the worst if it didn't turn out just turf it lol.

My second project was to scrap some pics of miss M dancing at the fairies she loves it.Thanks to Jodi for the inspirationn on the wings album this is my take of what i like as well.
Well thats it for now maybe i might scrap a page or two tommorow maybe maybe not.I have some calenders that i must do first.I hope that this leaves you all well on this long weekend.mwah Kerry xx

Scrap with V retreat

And her is Miss M at the zoo .Colin took her when he was on holidays last week they had agreat time.She has worn him out over the past week.She didn't want to go to the carers on Monday she wanted to stay home with daddy,but he had to go back to work so did i.

This pic is really cute of Miss M eating birthday cake just for something different.

This is the second time i have caught up with Vanessa and Lindy.Vanessa owns scrap with v and she ran the retreat we all had a fab time thanks again Vanessa,Lindy works for Vanessa she is so funny and real scream.Waving to you Lindy.

Myself and Lea .I also caught up with Lea again she lives in Adelaide too and is expecting her third baby in November.

Myself and Lee i first met lee last year at a retreat here in Adelaide.It was great to catchup again.

I made it back

Hi Everyone just a quick post to say i'm back safe and sound.What a great trip i had.It was great to catchup with new and old friends.The class that i was really nervous about went really well.I had really good students which helps.

I will download the pics that i took some of them anyway and post over the next couple of days.And i will also share some of my layouts that i did only three plus a mini book.I was too busy talking.The mimi book Jodi taught us turned out fab just have to put a title on the front page.

Another week has gone for the year.

Well another week has come and gone i really don't know where all the time has gone.I have worked and scrapped and worked and scrapped all last week.I scrapped over the weekend too,also going to scrap on Monday night as well.Thanks for a great night Friday night Janine it was great to sit and relax scrap and talk.Well talk and do a tiny bit of scrapping anyway.And also thanks to Hilary for the great company.It was a really late night i got home at 1.30am then went to bed at about 2.00 am and Miss M decided she needed to be awake at 5.30a.m.I did manage to get her back in bed and to sleep for another couple of hours.

My daughter asked me today to go to the movies and see sex in the city they have tickets already.I loved this show so i jumped at the chance to see the movie too.

I am hosting a blind challange at scrap therapy this Wednesday night,so i better get up and running with my step by step scrapping instructions.

Also i have the scrap with V retreat coming up so i have to get organized and packed ready for that too .Can't wait to see old and new friends should be a blast.I'm teaching my first ever class so i hope that they take it easy on me.I have about 23 girls in my class should be great fun.

And a pic of my son he has grown up to quickly too.The fact that he is twenty nine amazes me where has the time gone.There is loads of machine stitching on this layout.Not that you can tell from the net.And i have used the new Martha Stewart punches on here too they are fab.I love them as well as the marvy punch for my sun.Thanks fot the loan of the punches Janine,and the swirl i'm afraid i can't give that back at the moment.

This layout has just come back from Queensland i think the picture is really cute of Col and Mikayla.Can't believe how much she has grown.It only seem's like yesterday since i had her.

This page was done for paper occasions in Cleveland Brisbane it going off to the shop this week.I just adore this pic of Mikayla.

A Mothers day review and a pic that i scrapped.

This would have been the best picture of my three children on mothers day.
As usual trying to get Mikayla to coporate is so hard so after about 20 photos this one is it.I changed the colour of the pic to a vintage look for something different.Thanks to Janine for sharing the website that had free downloads for photoshop actions.And to b for the tutoral on how to load them to my computer.

I did get spoilt for mothers day Travis and Carla bought me a lovely willow angel ornament.
Carly and Jason bought me a dvd Celine Dion live in Vegas,and some foot cream and scrub i think i get the hint lol.

And Mikayla bought me a love heart shaped box with Elvis on it.Just love him too.

We went to Carlys for breakfast and had a lovely bacon and egg breakfast,next year i think it will be Carla and Travis's turn to make breakfast will see.Thanks again to my beautiful children for making my day wonderful,also to my son inlaw for doing so much for me as well.And to Carla it has been wonderful having you share our life here in Australia . I hope that we will share many special days like this in the future.

This is such a cute pic of Mikayla i loved scrapping it. We were in the car coming home the other day.Mikayla was busy telling me that she was three and i said thats nice baby.

Then she continued to tell me that her dad was old.I said yes he is lol i told her how old he was and she said mummy your three like me arn't you.My response was i wish and she said i wish to mummy.

With that she then said to me mummy i ludge you this much with her arms spread wide.And i responded i ludge you too.They are just fantastic when they say cute things like this.What a pleasant end to my day i thought.What and angel.

Then when we got home something happened when we opened that front door i really don't know what ,but some strange person jumped into that sweet little girl and out came the monster child that we know and just love.She had decided that she didn't want dinner first up then when i asked her to have her bath another tantrum started and i mean a full on tantrum.

Got over that episode then she refused to put her toys away that she had been playing with.Then we didn't want to go to bed .After much perserverance from me i really was ready to pull my hairout and hers lol.I did get her into bed and read her story for the night. And the treasure said i ludge you mummy and i'll be a good girl can i have a cuddle.

How could you not ludge her.Maybe one day i will work her out but i don't think so.And maybe oneday she will realize that it is i love you but for now i play along with her.

We call her chicken

Mikayla gets called chicken or the little chick or just chiccie.I have taken some pics of her and her favourite chicken.Now i know that Travis just loves this chicken too lol.

Mikayla's Grandma bought this for her along time ago she was really scared of it but not now.

It sings and runs along the floor quite cute but can be very annoying played over and over again.

Who said that Carla dosen't do dishes well here's the proof or is that Mikayla showing her how to do them.?
